A member of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) was killed during a gunfight with the member of its rival Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) in Jurachhori upazila of Rangamati Thursday night.
Ataur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Jurachhori Police Station, said they recovered the body from Bithor Balulkhali area of the upazila around 8:30am Friday.
Several rounds of bullets were exchanged during the gunfight that began around 8:00pm, reports our Rangamati correspondent quoting the OC.
The details of the incident were not known immediately.
